DAHLINKS... what an incredibly wonderful issue. Love the cover art! Good to
read Michael B's ponderings!!!!!!! Ahh, and the memories of Cat's place..
Thanks so very much for the work of love and occassional touchy-body breaks
that went into this issue ;-)!

wow, yea...wow
GJ all!
I dont get to read alot of this anymore, especially now...so busy I barely have time to write, but soon the summer comes and God bless the archves I will go back and read all the badass issues this year I didnt get to meditate upon.

But from what I have read, outstanding shiiiite.

I am once again proud to be in the company of you freaks, weirdos, dope heads, perverts and the occassional normal even.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just came from the Hold....had too good of a time for the morning! What a cool group of poets there...I enjoyed my visit. I have some stuff to submit to you...it seems like the type you might be able to use. Nice seeing you around again, and it was also good to read Jim and Jaime and lynn. Themestream seems a million years ago! Maybe it was for the best that it folded....gave us all more time for our own bigger and better pursuits. Have a good weekend, hope you like this stuff and could use something.
Regards, Lori

the sheer *volume of stuff in there is amazing! I don't think
a person can read it all in only one night!

you sure do a great job with it, cait!

Yes, Cait, The-Ho!d gave me hemmoroids. Sitting down to work my way through this issue took a toll on my ass. What a wonderful site. I want computer access in my bathroom.
Peace and all that.

K8,

of all the places I have visited on the net, the-hold is the classiest and at the same time the most whacked and down to earth of literary sites. got a kick out of that wild ass genitalia piercimus optimus.now that - would make a great album cover. or a gargantuan hehehoho to send to a convent or a seminary as a piercing advertisment. with a little tinsel and a string of lights, a great christmas card. ha ha. god help him if some scorned ex gets ahold of one of those industrial strength electromagnets and waves it in his direction. yeeeeeeeeeeooooooow!
yours,

jesus christ

Dear Cait,

I have read about half of "The Hold" and wanted to share my thoughts about it.

Yuck!

Well, it ain't that bad...but it seems to be about a bunch of losers ranting about life. Maybe your stuff is basically the same, but I do know I LIKE your work...maybe because I know you and can relate. Or try...
And your book is still making the rounds at work. Now, THEY don't know you, and they think you are pretty hot. Well, who wouldn't?
It is a great find, you getting Michael Hathaway. He is a very well-known editor in the field, with his Chiron Review, which rejected me a few times. Ever see a copy of it? He does it on newsprint, with nice big pictures and bios of his poets. I haven't read his stuff yet in The Hold, but I will, along with rest Ihaven't gotten to yet. And hey, I didn't know he was gay. A lot of creative people are...so what?
I can see that putting it together once a month is a lot of work. Me, I like to hold my mag in my hand (gives me a break from that other thing I like to hold), but E-zines are the coming thing.
Love ya,
Lou Hertz.
